About the artist
Sally is a self-taught artist based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Following a life-changing accident and on-going health battles, she turned to art as an escape. Inspired by the patterns she sees in Australian native flora and fauna, she set up Ozflorana® as a way to share her unique style of art and love of nature.
Travels to beautiful Tasmania in winter and spring, fuelled her passion for the environment and renewed her love of art and nature which is at the heart of all of her designs. Sally works with ink, pastels and more recently, digital art mediums for her drawings and designs.
10% of sales is donated to World Wildlife Fund - Australia.

How long does it take to illustrate?
It can take up to a year to complete large pieces by hand. Pain management, lack of feeling in my arm and anxiety are some of the challenges I face as a disabled artist.
Is research part of your creative process?
I spend hours researching endangered flora and practice drawing representations of them. Sometimes I use parts of a plant such as the bud, nut or leaf to represent or enhance a feature.
What do the names mean?
All of my designs have names and each print comes with an explanation of the name given and the flora that is included in the design.
Do you deliver internationally?
I do not offer international postage through my Etsy store. If you would like delivery outside Australia, please email me to discuss - admin@ozflorana.com.au
Why do you donate to the WWF?
The catastrophic bush fires of 2019- 2020 and the devastating loss of wildlife and habitat has had a profound impact on me. I donate10% of all sales to the WWF ‘Regenerate Australia’ campaign to raise funds for the restoration of native habitat. Even if you do not buy my products, please consider donating to the WWF.
Do you run workshops?
Yes! Contact me to discuss running small creative workshops.
